HAGE Initiative

Education should never be determined by where a child is born.

The HAGE Initiative helps rural students access secondary education by providing safe accommodation and comprehensive support near schools.

The Challenge

Long travel distances, financial hardship, limited infrastructure, and inadequate accommodation force many rural students out of school.
Girls are particularly vulnerable to dropping out due to poverty, early marriage, and social pressure.

The HAGE Model

Safe Accommodation

A stable hostel environment close to school.

Meals & Supplies

Nutritious meals, school supplies, and learning materials.

Mentorship

Leadership development, life skills, and guidance.

Practical Training

Agriculture and self-sufficiency skills alongside education.

Expected Outcomes

Increased access to secondary education.
Improved retention and academic performance.
Greater gender equality and youth leadership.
A scalable model for rural education access across Angola.
